Yoga is as old as civilisation and has been practised for thousands of years as a gentle but powerful means of achieving strength, flexibility, stillness and balance in body and mind.

Yoga For Our Times

We teach Yoga with the sole aim of optimum health and wellbeing. The mindful movement in our classes is intentional and with total awareness. Each movement is to enable, strengthen, mobilise, and relax different parts of the body and to bring it together to quieten the mind. We are teaching from a place of integrated balance of the earliest philosophy of Yoga and the present-day science and evidence-based Yoga.

Yoga is an ideal form of movement for all of us and more so as we age. Under the guidance of a well-qualified teacher, yoga involves non-competitive, mindful movement that encourages people to start where they are, breathe deeply, and release tension. Today’s yoga students have a broad range of abilities – from being unable to climb a single stair to running marathons – and yoga offers a unique means of optimising health at an individual level.
